(SPRINT BROADBAND)-Sprint offers it’s customers a mobile broadband connection plan through the usage of a sprint mobile broadband card for your laptop or a USB modem on your home computer. Out of those two options, the mobile broadband connect card offers something that internet users have been striving for. It’s the ability to take your laptop on the go and not worry about the range of a wifi network. Many have wondered if this service is too good to be true. Well, with every great thing there is a price to pay.
The functionality of the Sprint mobile broadband is where it thrives. The connection speed gives you a reliable and fairly fast speed in generally poor connection areas. There have been limited reports of lagging and loss of connection.
The down side of this product is the price. The current monthly plan for Sprint broadband starts out at $59.99/month for 5 GB/month of usage and 300 MG/month of off network roaming. If you go over these limits, they start charging $0.05/MB. If you use your wireless connection religiously, it may constitute into a pricey investment. However, this service can be a gem to those who don’t. We are going to give Sprint broadband a 9/10 for reliability and speed and a 6/10 for the overall price of the service.

- 5 GB/mo. in total or 300 MB/mo. while off-network roaming. (1024 kb=1MB. 1024 MB=1 GB)
- Additional monthly usage over 5 GB costs 5¢/MB. You may not use more than 300 MB/mo. while off-network roaming.
- International data roaming may incur additional charges. Sprint reserves the right to limit throughput speeds or amount of data transferred.

I was thinking about hooking up with the sprint broadband plan but I’m not sure about the price. It would be great to have wireless internet access for my laptop anywhere though. I’ve also heard that the connection speed is pretty good in poor connection areas…that is a plus. If anyone used this sprint broadband service, please let me know.

You pretty much said it. The sprint broadband connection is nice….but there is a price to pay for anything nice. I’m sure over time when other companies come out with similar products, the price will go down. Sprint will probably lower there price too. I say go for it. It’s a good service to have.

Would it be more useful to buy a router with your current ISP, or get Sprint broadband wireless as my internet service provider? I heard that sprint broadband is reliable, but I just wanna make sure I’m getting the best deal possible.
