It’s not easy to find a good wireless internet provider for a good price. I’ve never tried any of these offers here, but they look pretty good. A good wireless ISP needs to have a reliable and fast connection speed…that all that really matters. And, with all the free wireless options out there, it has to be good if your going to pay for it. Generally, most of the free wireless internet providers around the country are horrible.

For my wireless internet, I just use a comcast cable internet connection, and then I bought a router to set up a wireless network. It works great, but I’m not sure it’s the cheapest way to go. I know that a lot of companies are coming out with wireless internet cards that you can plug into the usb of your laptop. They say it enables you to go wireless anywhere. I’m going to assume that it sucks as far as other wireless internet providers go, but I’m not sure. Does anyone know what up with wireless laptop cards?

You pretty much assumed right. Laptop cards aren’t at a state where they are that reliable and fast. They tend to lose connection an lag when attempting to download large files. They are a good option for wireless internet when your on the road or something. If your trying to find a good wireless internet provider for the home or office, you might just need to pay the extra money and buy a router….hook it up to your current ISP, and there you go.
Avoid relying on the free wireless ISP’s. They are basically a bust. Just like the laptop card, they lag and lose connection often. The offers listed above in this post are all reliable ways to go. Just make sure you find a good package deal and a cheap router for your wireless connection.

I really wanted to get one of those laptop cards, but I think I’ll take the advice and just hook up a wireless internet network and buy a router…etc.

It’s annoying trying to find a good wireless ISP. I hear the laptop cards aren’t that great, but, most wireless internet service providers charge for much for services that lag. If anyone has a good or bad experience with the wireless internet providers listed here, please post a comment on it.

I always though that the best option would be to get high speed internet of some kind, and then buy a router and get you wireless internet connection through that. Can you actually just buy wireless ISP?

Good wireless ISP deals. But I still think the way to go is to just ad a broadband router to your current internet plan. If anyone finds a good wireless internet provider that would be cheaper than that, please let me know.

So, are these wireless internet options better than actually buying a wireless router and hooking it up to your current ISP? It seems like that is the cheapest option, but I’m not sure.
